Circulation: ID and Borrowers Cards

About Borrowers Cards For:

Pellissippi State students, faculty, and staff must present a form of ID at the library's circulation/service desk in order to check out library items and use reserve materials. Library staff is able to accept types of proper identification:

1. PSCC ID Card

2. A government issued picture ID (such as a driver's license) along with their P-number.

3. Log into My Pellissippi on your cell phone and show the library staff member your name and P-number on My Pellissippi.

Correcting Library Account Issues

Students who are registered for classes at PSCC but do not have an active account in the library system can show the library staff member that they are currently registered for classes by signing into the Brightspace home page and showing the staff member the current or upcoming classes on their screen. Library staff can then create an account for the student or update the expiration date of their existing account to the end of the semester.

Currently enrolled Pellissippi State students and currently employed Pellissippi State faculty and staff members are eligible to borrow materials from a list of TBR/UT (TALC) member libraries. Students are permitted to check-out circulating materials at participating TBR/UT libraries in accordance with the lending library’s local policies. These borrowing privileges do NOT imply or confer any other privileges or access to computer labs or services at any other campus facilities that you might visit at a participating school.

  • A photo ID must be presented at the lending library in order to check out materials. You will be asked to log into your MyPellissippi account to show proof of current enrollment in classes. You may also be asked to present your valid Pellissippi State ID card.
  • Borrowers are subject to the rules and policies of the lending library and are responsible for any financial obligation incurred at the lending library as well as for any collection fees accrued.
  • Students must be registered for classes at the time of check out. Some institutions may allow students to check out materials if they are registered for classes for the upcoming semester.
  • Students not enrolled in summer classes at Pellissippi State are not eligible to borrow from TALC member institutions during the summer.
  • The lending library reserves the right to cancel the privileges of borrowers who fail to follow library policies.
