Circulation: Part-Time Library Jobs

Part-Time Library Jobs for Students and Non-Students

The PSCC Libraries have temporary part-time jobs at each campus and many of those jobs are filled by PSCC students.

Enrollment: Students must be enrolled in 6 credit hours or more to be considered for a Student Employment Project (SEP) position or must be enrolled in one class during the summer term.

Student Library Jobs Pay Rates Effective 7/1/2024

$14 per hour = Starting pay

$15 per hour = On a new contract after 6 months of experience

$16 per hour = On a new contract after 9 months of experience

How many hours per week can I work?

Student employees are allowed to work a maximum of 20 hours per week, but many work fewer hours. The days and hours a student employee works are somewhat flexible but are constrained by scheduling needs and are based on hours of operation.

How can I apply for a student job in the library?

You can submit a student job application and an availability survey to apply for a student job. Be sure to indicate all of the jobs you are interested in on your application so that if there are no jobs available in the library you can be considered for other jobs on campus.

What kind of part-time jobs are available in the library?

Each campus library has part-time positions, but the tasks assigned to each position will be different by campus. Detailed information is available by campus below.
