Borrow. Grow. Return: Building a Sustainable Future.

How the Seed Library works:

Pellissippi patrons and Community Borrowers may check out seed packets. There are no due dates for seeds, however we invite everyone in the community to collect and return seeds from each item that they borrow -- this allows for a sustainable collection. We request that collected seeds be separated and clearly labeled by type and variety upon return.

To learn about saving seeds check out our Seed Sorting Parties and Seed Saving Workshops on the CAE Events Calendar. There are also more resources available on this guide and in the library's collection.

What's the difference between variety and type of vegetable?

Type: squash, pepper, carrot

Variety: Black Beauty (zucchini squash), Anaheim (pepper), Cosmic Purple (carrot)
