The Louvre's website is rich in media of all kinds, including searchable databases of images from the collection, streaming videos produced by the museum, virtual tours, as well as interactive multimedia modules that allow you to see the details of an artwork through a magnifying glass while commentary and animation provide historical and artistic background.
