Evaluate Credibility
Use OneSearch or our databases to find credible sources. To check they are credible, ask yourself two questions:
1. Who is writing?
- They should be an expert who has at least a master's degree in the subject.
You can google their name to find this information.
2. On what topic?
- It should be a subject the expert studied (e.g., a literature professor writes about Gilgamesh).
Take a look at our Evaluating Sources tutorial (linked below) for more examples. You can also schedule a research appointment and a librarian will help you find credible sources for your research.
