What is changing?
The Pellissippi State Libraries are improving functionality and security of their authentication software. This software allows students, faculty, and staff to access the Libraries' digital collections from any location.
When is this happening?
On December 11th, 2023. (after Finals Week and Commencement)
Will this affect my Fall 2023 classes?
No, this change will occur in December, 2023.
What will I have to do?

Be aware that some of the links you and your students use to access library resources will change on December 11, 2023.

Think about where you have links that need to be updated, including Brightspace, browser bookmarks, syllabi, etc.

Edit these links to include the new proxy server prefix.
How do I know if I have links to change?
There are two ways to identify these links. Links may begin or end with the current proxy server prefix. Examples:

What support services are available to me during the transition?

The Libraries' website will feature a new link generator that will convert links to the new proxy server prefix. You can find the new link generator in the navigation menu at the top left of this page.

The Libraries will provide assistance to any students who have been granted an extension to ensure that they can complete their work. Research assistance will be available in person and virtually through Monday, December 18, 2023.

The Libraries will update all catalog and library website links with the new proxy server prefix.
