Let's Talk Appalachia!
Be part of our winter exhibition by sharing your stories, recollections, and thoughts about living in Appalachia!
The Pellissippi State Libraries invite students, faculty, and staff to contribute short interviews about their experience of Appalachia. These audio recordings will be posted to a special collection on the StoryCorps website and publicly available. StoryCorps is a nonprofit organization dedicated to “listening to America,” and they have collected over 325,000 conversations with ordinary people since 2003. Our goal is to build an archive of stories created by the Pellissippi State community.
Use this guide for information about how to record and share your interview. Find a partner and use our prepared list of questions for your interview or make up some of your own. Then, have a conversation!
