PALS: What is it?

Pellissippi ambassadors for library success

What is PALS?

We're seeking some exceptional students to work with us—not just for us!

Pellissippi Ambassadors for Library Success (PALS) is a new initiative at the library.  Students will be trained to help their peers in the library and around campus. These students will also help us by bringing fresh ideas to the library, and creating and promoting new services and library events that are student-focused. This isn’t meant to be just a campus job, but also a partnership between students and librarians.

PALS students can work up to 15 hours a week and will earn $8.50/hr. There will be mandatory bi-monthly training meetings. Right now, the program is limited to the Hardin Valley campus, but we anticipate expanding to other campuses in the future.
