About the Library: About the Library

Library Purpose

Welcome to the Pellissippi Libraries. Find great research resources and study spaces.  Use computers for research and study.  Consult with Reference Librarians and use reference books for research assistance.  Check out books, laptops (in building only) and reserve materials and get a TBR/UT(TALC) or Community Borrowers card at the Circulation Desk.  Reserve a group study room at the Reference desk.

The Pellissippi Libraries provide reference and research assistance. The majority of the book collection is located at Hardin Valley, but all campus libraries have a general reference collection and at least 1000 books. All books in the collection are available to other locations through intercampus loan. Please review our Library Services page to learn about other services.

In support of the College's diverse curriculum, Library Services is committed to:

  • providing an excellent collection of information resources consisting of books, periodicals, electronic and other appropriate formats to meet the educational, research and enrichment needs of our students, faculty and staff;
  • teaching information literacy skills in individual and group settings, thereby empowering our users to be successful, lifelong learners and informed citizens of their community;
  • continuing research and investment in technological innovations for expanded access to resources for all college locations and online users.
