Did you know that free virtual reality games are available for your cell phone?

All you need is a device equipped with a gyroscope for 360-degree interaction, and a VR headset to transform your phone's display.

Check out a mobile headset at any campus library.

Why Bring Virtual Reality to the College?

We want YOU to explore these immersive technologies in the classroom and in your career.

There are infinite possibilities for entertainment, education, medical training, military operations, and more. Virtual, augmented, and mixed reality (VR, AR, MR) provide a gateway to other worlds and simulated experiences. Gain new perspective in your studies or experience life from another's eyes!

Through the Library, we provide virtual reality equipment at multiple campuses:

  • Access an HTC Vive or Oculus Rift with staff assistance.
  • Check out and take home a mobile headset to use with free apps on your smart device.
  • Request VR equipment for an on-campus event or demonstration.
  • Faculty may request an instruction session with the VR equipment in their classroom.

*VR equipment is available to PSCC students, faculty, and staff ONLY.

**We encourage creative STUDENT DEVELOPERS to reach out for collaboration and testing with our devices!

For Your Safety

Keep aware of loose cables and the boundaries of the play area.

Make sure the controllers are secured to each wrist.

If you feel nausea or discomfort, take off the headset and sit down.

Consult your doctor before using the VR equipment if you have a pre-existing medical condition (i.e.: heart ailment, anxiety disorders, or PTSD).

Like other gaming products that product flashing lights, the VR headset may trigger epileptic seizures, fainting, or dizziness.
