Adjunct Faculty Orientation: Database Resources for Faculty

What is a database?

  • Library databases are searchable (often by keyword, subject, author, etc.).
  • They contain information from academic journals, magazines, newspapers, encyclopedias, and other materials.
  • Library databases also often provide access to full-text articles and provide citation information.

These links are to resources available that are designed to assist educators in instruction. The specific resources available may differ depending on the database/website but generally these will help with designing assignments and/or familiarizing educators with features and resources provided by these databases that may be useful for educators.
