Multimedia Databases

 

  • American History in Video  
    American History in Video provides a rich collection of video online for the study of American history. The collection enables analysis of historical events, and their presentation over time, through commercial and governmental newsreels, archival footage, public affairs footage, and important documentaries.
  • Artstor  
      
    The collection contains hundreds of thousands of digital images from across many time periods and cultures drawn from museums, archaeological teams, photo archives, and art reference publishers.
  • Classical Music Library  
      
    Classical Music Library provides over 20,000 classical music tracks you can listen to. Browse alphabetically by artist, composer, conductor, ensemble, instrument, genre, period, or label.



  • eAudioBooks  
    eAudio books are available for download to desktop computers and laptops and then transfered to an MP3 player or other portable listening device. The collection includes fiction, nonfiction, and the Contemporary English Version (CEV) Holy Bible.
  • FMG Videos  
      
    These streaming video titles are available to Pellissippi State Technical Community College through the Tennessee Board of Regents Media Consortium. Viewing them requires the latest version of Windows Media Player. Please follow the on-screen instruction
  • Theatre in Video  
      
    From the most important productions of Shakespeare to rare, in-depth footage focusing on the work of Samuel Beckett, Theatre in Video offers more than 500 hours of online streaming video, available electronically for the first time.

The College's media collection includes several formats:  electronic resources, videos and compact discs.

These materials can be located with the online catalog.

To search only for multimedia resources, use the Advanced Search and specify PROJ MEDIUM under Material Types

 

Where are the videos on Campus?

Videos, both VHS and DVD, that are available on the Pellissippi Campus are located in the Educational Technology Services (ETS), Room 244, in the Goins Building. 

Some videos are housed in the Educational Resources Centers at the site campuses

FMG Streaming Video

FMG On Demand streaming videos are available through the TBR Media Consortia.  Watch videos in American and English literature, history, religion, and theater.  Faculty can request an FMG account to create their own playlists: FMG Account
