Visitor Services

Visitors are welcome at the Pellissippi Library. Library services are available as described on this page.

Community Borrower's Cards

Area residents who are 18 years of age, or older, may register for a Community Borrower's Card that permits checkout of library materials. A valid Tennessee Driver's License, or other acceptable proof of identity, age, and Tennessee residency must be presented at registration.

A Community Borrower's Card can be obtained at the Library's Circulation Desk at Pellissippi Campus or the ERC service desk at extended campus locations.

  • The card is valid for one year and may renewed.
  • Community borrowers may have a maximum of 5 items checked out at once, with a limit of five renewals per item.
  • Overdue items must be returned before any other materials can be borrowed.
  • Community borrowers are subject to the Library's stated loan periods and overdue policies.
  • Community patrons who reside more than 100 miles from a Pellissippi State location (no local address) may be asked to verify that they are in good standing with their local library or any other Tennessee library where they live.

Computer Use

  • Library computers in the Reference area and on the second floor are available for use by visitors to access the library's information resources and the internet.
  • Please be aware that computers are intended for scholarly and research purposes only and not for commercial gain or private profit.
  • Computers are available on a first-come-first-serve basis; however, during especially busy times, priority must be given to Pellissippi students, faculty and staff.
