Circulation: Pellissippi Distance Learners

This guide describes circulation policies regarding: library cards, checking out items, loan periods, returning items, overdue notices and replacement costs, intercampus loans, interlibrary loans, and the reserve system.

Borrowing

Student enrolled and faculty teaching Pellissippi State distance education classes are eligible to borrow books from Pellissippi State, Tennesee Board of Regents and University of Tennessee schools.

Borrower Cards

The Pellissippi I.D. Card is required for checking out books and periodicals from Pellissippi State's library.  Contact the Student Life Office to inquire about an I.D.

A card can be mailed to you if:

  • you are a Pellissippi State student currently enrolled only in distance learning courses or a Pellissippi State faculty member currently teaching a distance learning course, AND
  • you live farther than 30 miles from any Pellissippi State location
